The kids get a hold of a photo album of when Johnny was a little kid, and they're looking at it at Karate practice one day.

They are frustrated when all they can find are pictures of Johnny's sister. Daniel takes a look too and when Johnny arrives he asks why Johnny never mentioned his sister.

Johnny says a admits that he doesn't have a sister, he just had long blond hair before his mom got remarried and Sid made him cut it off.

Before that he was the stereotypical 1970s California blond surfer/skater kid with long hair... Who occasionally wore the neighbor girl's dresses; he just liked the way they felt.

+Bonus if Johnny starts to accept himself and starts wearing nightgowns at home in the evening and remembers why he liked it so much

Angsty bonus+ if Daniel's a bit concerned by the bruising some of the pictures show that clearly indicate child abuse.

When someone jokes about Daniel and Johnny being together, Daniel laughes like it's the most ridiculous idea on earth. Ouch.

So remember when Johnny was gonna order the "vegan moong dal bowl" just to impress Ali? He starts doing the same with Daniel, changing everything about himself in an attempt to impress Daniel and get Daniel to like him.

I'm thinking about Johnny practically gagging down sushi, dressing differently, acting differently - and every time Daniel compliments the changes, Johnny's self esteem plummets a bit more because he doesn't feel like himself and knows he won't be able to keep up the act permanently.

Daniel starts to miss the old Johnny and eventually is floored when he realizes that Johnny is in love with him, and has been trying to change himself because he didn't think he was good enough for Daniel.

Daniel is either 16 (same age as in kk) or legal. He meets Silver (you can decide if he's a writer like Nick or something else) and becomes obsessed with him. Alternatively, you can keep Silver rich and reverse it so that he's the one renting the guest house to Daniel and his mom.

Daniel is infatuated with Silver and laments his lack of friends as an excuse to get close to him. Silver is nice /maybe a bit too nice/ and says he'll be Danny's friend, but ONLY his friend, and starts seeing someone else. But since Silver is resisting his advances, Daniel takes his mostly innocent flirtation to overt seduction tactics. (Again, you can decide how far you want to take it. If he's kinda obsessed but still sane or full on unhinged like Darien.)

The option you choose would obviously impact what kind of ending you write. A happier ending for them would be preferred, but if you want to keep it more in line with the movie's ending, that's ok too.

At practice Daniel notices that Johnny seems stiff and sore.

He offers to give Johnny a massage to help.

During the massage Daniel notices that Johnny's body starts trembling and when Johnny gets up he can see that Johnny's eyes are wet despite Johnny's attempts to hide his face.

From then on Daniel notices that Johnny starts standing really close to Daniel, like they're connected at the hip. He realizes that Johnny is touch starved and begins to shower the other man with as much physical affection as possible.

Would love if Daniel starts things sincerely platonic, but develops deeper feelings later on.

He sees that there's also a few therapists there that deal with addiction and expects Johnny will see one of them.

One day they run into each other in the lobby.

Daniel is shocked to see that Johnny enters/exits the office of a therapist who specializes in sexual abuse and trauma.

Au where omegas are kept as slaves and must be owned once they come of age. Omegas have very little rights, but the amount of freedom they have depends on their owner.

In high school, Daniel figures the spoiled omega will continue to live the good life once he's sold to a wealthy Alpha master.

Daniel is shocked when Johnny enters the dealership without a collar and looking so down on his luck. An omega without a collar is extremely vulnerable to attack and without health insurance, Johnny doesn't have money for medications to prevent his heat.
