It's just instinct, when an alpha has another alpha pinned in a fight, to show their dominance with a bite. If Johnny knew he'd end up with a (thankfully temporary!) mating bond, he never would have given into the urge.

(Im open to Daniel being ~secretly an omega~ but *without* the Dom/Sub stuff, please. Otherwise Alpha/Alpha, with Johnny being too stupid to know a bond is possible & making up a bunch of macho bullshit to explain the situation )
