Someone makes a comment about Johnny getting old/ having a tummy and it sends him spiraling, he's supposed to be the one that's still in shape and a lot of his self worth is tied to his physical performance. So he starts skipping meals, telling himself that it'll just be until he gets "back in shape." But obviously it goes further than that. Someone notices eventually, maybe one day when he hasn't eaten anything he passes out at training, and they help (a reluctant) Johnny recover.

Ooh I like this. I totally get that back in the day Kreese's relentless training regime might have led to disordered eating. This coupled with his home life, and maybe an eating disorder rears its ugly head when things get stressful, like a karate war and your son siding with the dude who tried to kill you.

I like gen for this just because the whole Daniel/Amanda babying Johnny can be a bit nauseating sometimes, and I like Johnny to have friends looking after him. Sometimes that's more powerful for me than Lawrusso.

Not OP, but I definitely enjoy me some Johnny getting babied sometimes and it’s clear other people do too, and no worries to anybody if other people want something different sometimes, the more fanfiction in the fandom the better. OP certainly doesn’t have to like what other people like, but there’s no objective correct preference here, chacun à son goût.

Sorry, my comment was flippant and I wasn't talking about any specific author. Nauseating isn't the word I should of use and people likes their own tropes and thats cool. I just personally don't like to see fics where trauma or a disease like an eating disorder is used to either infantalises the person or the solution is to fuck the pain out of them. Just not my scene but I respect everyones take on a fic.
