Daniel and Amanda have an open marriage, but neither of them have dated anyone else seriously in a while. This changes when Amanda starts dating Johnny and, for the first time in his non-monogamous life, Daniel feels jealous... but not of Johnny. He's never had such an up close view of Johnny's sweet romantic side and he wants nothing more than for it to be directed his way.

He pushes past the feelings, because he doesn't want his shit getting in the way of what is turning out to be a perfectly lovely relationship for Amanda and a grounding stability for Johnny.

Johnny and Amanda get wise to his feelings, however, because he is Not subtle in his pining, and Johnny puts the moves on him.

hey so, the one who proposed the goalie nesting fic. I've begun writing it (will still take a while cause real life and all) but I realized that for a) better creative flow, b) headcanon reasons, and c) the lulz, it would be better if Johnny was the goalie instead. Would you still be interested?

When Daniel tells Silver he no longer wants to train under Cobra Kai, Silver, Barnes, and Kreese violently assault him (could also be non-con involved, but not necessary). Daniel's wandering around injured and in shock when Johnny finds him and decides to take him back home to Miyagi and help take care of him. Daniel doesn't really trust him at first, but as Johnny helps him through his trauma, they eventually start developing feelings for each other.

Would love some wholesome moments of Johnny helping Daniel through panic attacks, etc.

Another post-Kreese-choking-Johnny fic idea. In the scene, Kreese throws Johnny down to the ground when Mr Miyagi intervenes, and then Mr Miyagi and Daniel just walk away after Kreese has been dealt with. What if Johnny was actually really badly hurt, but they don’t know that because they never checked on him? Bobby is left to freak out and call an ambulance, and deal with everything. Daniel doesn’t hear about it until he’s back in school on Monday, in a knee brace and sort of loitering by the lockers, and hears some other kids having a conversation along the lines of: “Did you hear about what happened to that Johnny kid? I heard he was in the hospital. His coach tried to kill him. I dunno, sounds pretty bad, man.”

After school he goes to visit Johnny, and there’s no one there with him? Maybe Bobby has been in and out when he can, but his parents also want him home; and Laura/Sid gave the bare minimum of attention after they established that he wasn’t dying? So Daniel stays to keep him company, even though Johnny is embarrassed and can’t really talk, and they work out a way of communicating via notebook, and just sort of... become friends. To both of their surprise. And at the end of the week, Daniel and Mr Miyagi are the ones who give him a ride home, and they invite him to start training with them. Both boys help each other grow up a bit and mellow out, and they eventually become more than friends.

Bonus points if Daniel’s mom is actually really supportive of their friendship, and proud of Daniel for being so mature? Like, just wants him to be happy, and is proud of his ability to move forward and see the good in people and be a good friend?

Johnny and Dutch have a sort of friends with benefits thing going on before Daniel comes to town. Johnny thinks it’s just casual but Dutch is actually in love with Johnny.

So when Daniel appears and appropriates all of Johnny’s attention, Dutch is jealous and angry and is set on making Daniel’s life hell.

And then Johnny starts defending Daniel, which only makes things worse.

Amanda makes some comment to Daniel re: Johnny to the effect of: I have never seen a man who more blatantly wants to be dominated. And Daniel's brain goes tilt. The two of them have a great evening jointly domming the hell out of a very enthusiastic Johnny.

So I feel like its often overlooked that Johnny and friends ganged up 5 against 1 and BEAT DANIEL UNCONSCIOUS... If Mr. Miyagi hadn't come along theres a possibility Johnny could have killed him.

I feel like... Even after 35 years and a love-romantic relationship forming, this would cause trust/intimacy issues related to past violence for Daniel. Even if they were subconscious.

Particularly if Johnny was a Top: I'm thinking maybe he'd equate sex with Johnny (Or maybe with men in general) with violence and would assume it would be rough or painful. So maybe he's really caught off guard when Johnny is a real softie in bed and gets emotional? Or maybe he has a flashback when Johnny does get a bit spirited in the sack?

Either way I want that trauma explored.

Daniel accidentally slips out a “daddy” during sex. He’s mortified at first but Terry’s likes it a lot so Daniel gets bolder with it. Lots of dirty talk please!

Small detail: I don't think they would have school next day, Tournament was Dec 19 (it said on the poster), so they'd be out for Xmas break. But that could be even better for the story since Daniel would have more time to spend with him.

Instead of going to work at LaRusso Auto after seeing his dad hugging Miguel, Robby finds out about Kyler (and his history with Miguel and Johnny) and decides that 'dating' him would piss his father off more.

Okay - I'm filling this one. I'll put it on AO3 and link here once I've got a chapter all the way banged out, but by way of status update: I've already got 1300 words of a spanking on Halloween.
