Date: 2021-10-09 01:30 pm (UTC)I like gen for this just because the whole Daniel/Amanda babying Johnny can be a bit nauseating sometimes, and I like Johnny to have friends looking after him. Sometimes that's more powerful for me than Lawrusso.

Johnny is excited about it but Daniel, who's hid his fear from even his wife, is incredibly apprehensive. But sometime during the party after the kids have decided to take it dip in the water, Johnny and Amanda learn of Daniel's fear and decide to help him overcome it and feel more comfortable in the water.
LOTS of H/C and insecure, soft Daniel!

Sam doesn’t respond.
“Sam.”
Still nothing.
“Sam!”
Sam’s eyes fly open as she snaps out of her kata, and if looks could kill, Miguel would be six feet under and then some.
“What,” she hisses.
Miguel points wordlessly to the corner of the room.
Sam marches over, looking ready to tear Miguel a new one for interrupting her meditation, and then she stops. Stares. And slowly, very slowly, makes eye contact with Miguel.
“…Holy shit,” she manages eventually, eyes bugged out wide.
Miguel nods.
“There’s a baby in this dojo.”

An hour later, and Sensei LaRusso hasn’t stopped panicking.
“This is some sort of joke, right?” His hair is sticking up in twenty different directions, frazzled and catastrophic-looking beneath his headband. “Kreese or somebody, yeah? Oh God, this is probably, like, the mayor’s kid, isn’t it? It’s finally happened, Kreese has totally fucked us over - “
Well, all right then, Miguel thinks. If Sensei LaRusso’s cursing, things must really be serious.
“Calm down, Danielle,” Sensei Lawrence says scornfully. “This isn’t Raising Arizona. Where would Kreese even gets his hands on a baby, anyway?”
A pause.
“Not for nothing,” Mitch pipes up. “But this is the guy who stole snakes from the zoo on the reg.”
Sensei Lawrence looks at Sensei LaRusso.
“Shit,” Sensei Lawrence says.
“I’m calling Amanda,” says Sensei LaRusso.

“I hate babies,” Sam grumbles, staring down at the little tufty-haired girl that Bert has sweetly chosen to christen Annie. “All they do is eat, cry, and poop. And then cry some more.”
The Senseis are in the dojo, on speaker-phone with Mrs. LaRusso and trying to figure the whole shitshow out. They’d kicked the students out into the yard some ten minutes ago. Sensei Lawrence had told Miguel and Sam to lead training, but neither of them are focused enough to handle that right now.
Especially because the damn baby crawled out here, and somehow, neither of the Senseis have bothered to notice.
“I don’t understand why they haven’t just called Child Protective Services,” Demetri sniffs, crossing his arms in front of his chest. “Unless this is a Harry Potter type situation, in which case - “
“Owfuck,” Hawk hisses, effectively cutting Demetri off. Annie seems to have taken a liking to him; her little meaty hand is currently tugging on one of Hawk’s tall purple spikes. “Don’t touch those, you little bastard - “
“Dude!” Miguel says in despair. “You can’t call a baby a bastard.”
“No, I agree with Hawk,” Sam says defiantly, which is definitely not a sentence Miguel ever thought would actually and sincerely come out of her mouth. “Babies suck. We should call them bastards more often.”
“Sam,” Miguel says.
“She’s pretty cute,” Chris says. He reaches a finger out to prod at Annie’s chubby cheek. Annie gurgles happily, neglects Hawk’s hair to suck on Chris’s knuckle. Chris smiles. “Where do you think she came from?”
“Hell,” Sam says immediately.
“A poor, disenfranchised mother?” Miguel suggests.
“The fiery pits of Mordor,” Demetri says.
“Well, historically,” Mitch begins. “When a man and a woman love each other very much, Chris - “
Chris elbows him in the side.

“Ok,” Sensei LaRusso says after thirty whole minutes of debating inside the dojo. “Ok, CPS is on their way. Sam, Miguel, since you were the ones who found Annie, they might ask you to file some sort of report.”
“Yeah, but don’t mention the Coors in the mini-fridge,” Sensei Lawrence interrupts. “That’s probably some sort of child endangerment thing right there.”
Sensei LaRusso brings a hand up to rub at his temples. “You’re keeping Banquets in my mini-fridge - “
“Just ‘cause all you drink is tea - “
“Listen, Johnny, tea is - “
“Fucking disgusting, so I don’t see the - “
“Stop the violence,” Miguel says. Nothing happens.
“Maybe if you weren’t such a goddamn moron - “
“The fuck did you just call me, LaRusso - “
Annie shrieks loudly, blissfully ending their argument.
Bert hoists her higher up on his hip. “Sorry to cut in,” he says. “But I think Annie might need a diaper change…”
Utter silence.
“Great,” Sensei LaRusso mutters. “Where the hell am I supposed to get diapers from?”
“Not it,” Sam says quickly.
“Nose goes,” Miguel says, and the loser is Demetri.
“I’ll buy the diapers but I am not touching any baby excrement,” Demetri says.
“Bert, you’re holding it, you change its shit-rag,” Sensei Lawrence says. Nate snickers at Bert’s sudden predicament.
“Don’t call her an it, Johnny - “
“Oh, I am not getting into this with you again - “
“Fuck it!” Hawk snatches the baby from Bert’s arms. “I’ll fucking do it, Jesus Christ.”
Annie burbles and shoves her fingers up Hawk’s nose. Demetri stares at his best friend with a baby in his arms, and Miguel is almost certain he’s watching Demetri fall in love in real time.
Sensei LaRusso sighs.
“All right,” he says. “Just don’t get any baby shit on the dojo floor.”
(Baby shit definitely gets on the dojo floor. Miguel has to hope Mr. Miyagi isn’t too affronted.)

Then there's a power outage and they're stuck in the dark.
Daniel has a bad trip,maybe he thinks a monster is chasing though the mansion.He hides somewhere and Johnny and Ali have to find him and comfort him.
Bonus points if they end up fucking on a fireside rug by candlelight.
