Something like this scenario has been on my mind SO MUCH since watching the finale. I feel like that was a line Johnny set for himself- like he may not have been a good father, but at least he wasn't an abusive piece of shit like his own role models. And crossing that line, even if it was an accident, has got to get under his skin.

Even in the final scene at the shared dojo, I thought his eyes looked a little bloodshot. I can really see it setting him back on a lot of the progress he was able to make, even sending him to a new low. Maybe asking the LaRusso's not to give up on Robby, not going further in making that connection with Carmen, withdrawing slowly until he doesn't show up one day.

I have massive covid brainsplats, but this is on my radar to noodle out if I can string more than a couple sentences together. Mainly because I think Johnny in canon has shown that he's willing to hurt himself, passively or actively, and I don't think he'll ever forgive himself for causing Robby physical harm.

Agree with all this, especially Johnny's look at the dojo,,I noticed that too! I'm praying you get the chance to tackle this!

Welp, I've got 1000 word outline done and I've written two scenes, so...

It seems I have at least SOME momentum going.

Not that you asked for daily updates or anything, but I'm at like 2500 words and stayed up until 3am writing for the first time in over a year. I hope it lives up to your expectations!

So. Um. 9000+ words later, here we are. I definitely strayed from the prompt a bit, but I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Thanks for getting me writing again after more than a year of nothing. Now maybe I can finally finish the book that was due in January. Of 2020.
