Any time period. Daniel and Johnny are together when Daniel starts seeing Silver and it quickly turns into an affair. They get increasingly reckless with it and still Johnny doesn't catch on about what's happening right under his nose.

Bonus: if Johnny is meanwhile also engaging in a stupidly obvious affair of his own (with person of your choice) that Terry and Daniel don't know about and explains why Johnny doesn't realize what Silverusso have been doing. They all think they're being sneaky but it turns out they're all just oblivious jackasses.

Johnny and Daniel either break up amicably or agree on an open relationship.
