I absolutely swear there is this exact story on A03 but I don't know if it's been updated for quite a bit. Still, I love multiple stories for the same prompt so if someone can write something like this to cure my need for the other to be updated, I'm all in. :)

Ooh, I think https://archiveofourown.org/works/35204293/chapters/87721114 must be the story you're talking about? It's where Johnny gets deaged to his teenage self after Daniel and Johnny have started seeing each other and one of my favourites. I also remember reading a fic where Daniel goes back in time and comforts Johnny after the tournament in '84 that's pretty good.
