I don't know how Terry is really going to look for S4, BUT, my headcanon is that he comes back and he is the FITTEST old man, and in better shape than many of the people around him. His relationship with Daniel is strained, but they both cannot deny the desire they had back then, and still today. Daniel sees how Terry has kept up, but withdraws because of his insecurity of his body.
Turns out, Terry doesn't mind a little cushion for pushin, and because it's Daniel, all the better!
