After the tournament, Silver wakes up in the past. Specific time doesn't matter except that it's at some point after meeting Daniel. He goes through the day the same way he did before and he wakes up the next morning finding that it's still the same day. He decides to change things up a bit to break the weird loop that seems to have started, and it somewhat works because he wakes up to the next day on the calendar (but still in the past). But not long after, he will reawaken back on the first day the loop started. Seeing this, he starts to take advantage of it to have some fun, mostly by messing with Daniel in various ways. But the loop continues and eventually he starts to get desperate to escape, so he decides he has to break it once and for all somehow. He figures out that every time he does something bad to Daniel, or is responsible for something bad happening to him (eg via Mike), the loop resets. So he tries to start actually helping him and teaching him properly. But that's not enough, because anytime Mike does something, the loop restarts again. So he has to keep going back to find a way to either circumvent Mike/have him go away and break the deal with Kreese and do right by Daniel. Along the way he develops real feelings for Danny who actually reciprocates and the loop finally breaks. Happy ending can be both of them retaining their memories and being together in this new timeline or angsty ending: the original timeline sets back in and Silver still remembers but Daniel doesn't.
