Daniel has a virus, or maybe some intense dental surgery...something like that which renders him speechless for a time. Johnny is delighted at first because he always figures Daniel has too much to say and also it means Johnny can tease mercilessly and be an annoying ass in general without the usual verbal pushback. Except it's not as fun as Johnny thought it would be, because after a while he actually misses Daniel's whining and griping.
