He doesn’t really know how he missed it, but when Johnny goes to reopen Cobra Kai, he finds out that someone has been operating under that name for years. Confused, he goes to check it out, and is even more baffled when he sees that fucking Larusso has apparently been a Cobra since the late 80s. He’s fully prepared to tuck his tail between his legs and go home, but Daniel, out of the kindness of his heart, (And the fact he actually has another business that needs his attention too.) offers Johnny a teaching position.
Johnny thinks this entire thing is off, but he’s not going to turn down extra money and a chance to investigate this entire situation, even if now he has to deal with Daniel’s weird students, constant question dodging about Kreese and how Daniel joined up in the first place, and some slimy guy named Silver who Daniel swears he isn’t dating but is constantly getting groped by in his office.
