Sorry for the late reply, but oh wow I absolutely LOVE IT so far!

Johnny is claustrophobic. Kreese used to abuse that when he trained Johnny, locking him in a closet if Johnny misbehaved.

Daniel finds that out the hard way when Johnny gets trapped in a closet again (maybe it was a door that gets stuck, or the kids did it as a prank).

I could see at some point him blindly attacking Daniel once he's free, flashing back and thinking he's Kreese, and Daniel's too stunned at the sheer terror in Johnny's eyes to fight back.

How attached are you to the idea of it being the CK/S4 era?

I ask because I had an idea pop into my head when I read this where months after the tournament Terry goes to make amends, realizing his obsession with Daniel wasn’t revenge for what happened to Kreese but with Daniel himself, his perfect little student.
So Daniel accepts the apology - it’s what Miyagi would do - but doesn’t want anything to do with Terry.

Cue shortly after and the accident that steals his memories of the last few months. He does not remember the betrayal or the real reason Terry starts training him.
Maybe he shows up at the dojo for a lesson, Terry figuring out what happened
Maybe Terry swoops in to pay the medical bills on the stipulation that Daniel is now his
Maybe he just takes Daniel - he has money, who will stop him!

But I imagine the story would start with them in some small village in Hawaii - remote.
It’s where Terry takes him - now that he has Daniel he will have him all to himself that’s for sure
He convinces Daniel that while training their relationship turned more “physical” and seeing as how Daniel was attracted to him - I mean let’s be honest the way he looked at Terry in that movie sometimes was the textbook definition of scared but horns TBH - he believes it
Cue the sexy times™️ - so so so much sexy times - and then starting a relationship
Daniel’s happy - he has fishing, lots of lush greenery to work with etc sun and his own personal sense in who he happens to be climbing like a tree multiple times a day 😉 he likes taking in the local people and culture - he does like learning about different places - this is canon
The locals like Terry for the money he brings to their village and everyone is charmed by Daniel
There’s mingling and dancing on the weekends and friendships to be made

I know the amnesia is a plot device to get to the sexy times™️ but if he’s 20 and Terry late 20’s/early thirties maybe the copious amounts of sex they’ll be having is more, let’s say believable because, although, this is fanfic after all and we all suspend some disbelief in the pursuit of the sex times™️ Still don’t want it to veer into the realm of totally unbelievable.

Also if he’s that age Daniel would have no ties that would cause people to look for him really / no wife, kids etc

Also technology back then made it easy for people to disappear and not be found

So, I just need to know how attached you are to the idea of the CK/S4 timeline

I figured it wouldn’t matter based on the last few sentences of the prompt but wanted to be sure :)

It’s not done yet, just the outline with the few plot points as listed above but I’ll start working on it.

Inspired by my recent dive into the vintage 80’s gay porn section of pornhub where I discovered a large amount of said porn features young muscular shaggy towhead blondes getting it on with smaller olive skinned brunettes!

Johnny somehow discovers Daniels secret stash of porn- maybe its post season 3 and he’s trying to find the updated class schedule on Daniel's laptop or something, idunno. And to Johnny’s shock, all of Daniel's porn looks to be from the late 70s early 80s and features a lot of guys that look like a youngerJohnny banging or being banged by guys that look a lot like a younger Daniel

What does Johnny do with this info? Does he go home and wrestle with his ~~boner~~ thoughts and then go confess to Daniel about what he found, and their’s passionate confessions and they hook up? Does Daniel walk in on Johnny staring at Daniel’s porn, and then both stare at each other in horror at being caught while over enthusiastic moans come out of the laptops tinny speakers? Does Amanda walk in after Daniel and johnny slams the laptop shut and in an effort to be helpful said laptop just starts streaming the porn to the giant flatscreen next to them at full volume? Johnny hid his laughter around a cough in his fist, "Sorry," his grin was anything but. He knew Amanda was a pistol but no one had ever gone to bat for Johnny against Sid. Even his mother had only ever been placating when he started in on Johnny when he was younger.

"Amanda," Sid held a beefy hand to his chest, trying to look charming, it mostly came out sleazy, "don't sell yourself short defending trash." He smirked at Johnny, his stupid eyes dancing like Sid won a trophy for shitting on Johnny's existence at every opportunity.

It hurt, it always fucking hurt when Sid lamented how stupid, how useless, how worthless Johnny was. It hurt worst in front of Amanda who always laughed at Johnny's jokes, who's eyes had lit up and called him a genius when presented with a handcrafted vanity. Johnny scrupulously looked around, praying he wouldn't catch honey eyes. He couldn't take it if Daniel heard these things too.

Except, apparently, Amanda was fearless and tearing down old, bitter men was her pastime.

"How dare you," Amanda's steely voice cut through the din. Every gaze at the table, including Johnny's shot to Amanda. Her hand was still on Johnny's shoulder and he wondered if she was aware how hard she was squeezing. It was okay, Johnny really didn't mind as she went on, "The only trash sitting at this table is an old, bitter man that has had nothing better to do in his life than make every single person around him as miserable as him. Every person at this table would rather be anywhere else-" Amanda laughed "-they're only sitting here because of your money." If Johnny had to describe Amanda's voice, the second laugh she let out, it was every mean girl from 1981 until 2019 in West Valley. Combined. She even put her other hand over her mouth, laughing at Sid Weinberg.

She leaned forward, her blue eyes were a deep, dark color of anger, "How big a man you are that you've been putting Johnny down for over forty-five years and yet he's still a better man than you. In spite of you, he's an amazing man." Amanda's hand moved from his shoulder (and Johnny was going to be bruised tomorrow but so worth it.) "Come on, Johnny-" she grabbed his elbow and pulled him from the chair "-we're not wasting another second here."

Johnny happily allowed Amanda to pull him away and he couldn't stop himself from looking over his shoulder and smirking at the dumbfounded look on Sid's face. He waved his fingers at the old man, cheeky grin growing when Sid sent him a look worthy of killing on sight.

After Terry Silver and Mike Barnes come back on the scene Daniel is more highly strung than ever. Paranoid about Cobra Kai to the point that Johnny is just irritated and a little personally affronted. He feels bad for being a bully but surely it wasn't THAT hard on Daniel?

Johnny fights with Daniel about it but subsequently duscovers footage (secretly taped by silver to show Kreese) of some of his abuse of Daniel as a kid.

Sadisticly pushing him beyond his limits whe training/stretching/sparring, physically punishing him for failure ,humiliating him and grooming him. (which is obvious to the adult Johnny, even if it wasn't to teen Danny.) Finally the betrayal scene where it becomes clear kreese,Barnes and silver had been working together to manipulate him.

Adult angst ensues as the reasons Daniel's fear of Cobra Kai become obvious.

Oh, now the pressures on lol

Kreese has a more flexible view of morality than most, but he draws the line at sexual abuse of a minor (see: stepping in with Tory's creepy landlord). When he realises just how far Terry Silver took getting "revenge" on Daniel LaRusso on his behalf, he's disgusted.

Kreese doesn't have a crisis of faith that leads him to the conclusion that psychologically and physically torturing kids maybe isn't okay either, but he does beat the shit out of Terry Silver.
