The cobra kai founders decide on a new way of teaching endurance/ Stockholm syndrome.

2019: The tournament is fast-approaching, but Daniel has been tense and distracted (to the detriment of their lessons) ever since Kreese’s powerful friend Terry Silver showed up. Daniel told Johnny that Silver was his sensei briefly in ‘85, but that he had not seen or heard from him since. So why is Daniel so on edge? How worried should Johnny be about Silver and about their chances at the tournament? Or is it personal? Johnny wants to understand and be better prepared, but Daniel clams up whenever he brings up Silver.

Johnny somehow gets the opportunity to time travel to the year 198x for one day and one night. [or more, up to you.] He doesn’t de-age so he is still early 50s. He immediately seeks out younger Daniel.

Johnny's on a mission. To find out the truth about Silver and Daniel. Concocting some excuse to talk to him, Johnny introduces himself as “John.” Johnny thinks it’s going rather well until Daniel tries to climb him like a tree the second they are alone together.

Daniel's on a mission. To find the perfect candidate to fuck Terry Silver out of his system and "free" him at last. And this stranger currently talking him up seems to be just the man he needs. John is definitely interested, Daniel thinks. His gaze is too curious and too knowing all at once. Daniel feels inexplicably exposed, and it thrills him. There's something familiar about him too...More importantly, for Daniel’s purposes, John is similar enough and different enough to Terry Silver in all the ways Daniel is looking for. It's decided. The second he gets John alone, he’s going to climb that man like a tree.

Somehow, after a series of unfortunate events, he finds himself in the position of coach of the West Valley High boys’ soccer team. Over time, he can’t help but grow closer to Johnny, who seems so much younger and more broken than he remembers.

An errant and accidental kick by Daniel during the tournament causes Johnny to miscarry the child he didn't know he was carrying, got on him by the sexual abuse Kreese inflicted on him and exposing Kreese's abuse to the world.

He ends up staying at Miyagi's (because of course Sid would victim blame and kick him out) and tries to recover from the abuse with Daniel at his side, who's trying to help Johnny while dealing with his own guilt about (as he sees it) killing Johnny's baby.
