Okay so I doubt anyone has seen this movie, but basically it's about this guy who dies and comes back as a ghost, but no one can see him, including his wife. I think he has to stay near her though. A few years later, she's met this other guy and they're going on a business trip together, so her husband tags along and tries to keep the two of them from getting together using his ghosty powers.

I'm thinking Daniel as the ghost husband and Johnny as the new guy. Amanda as the wife obviously. Daniel tries to keep them from getting together but is wildly incompetent- ghost hijinks anyone? Eventually maybe they can see him and Amanda realizes it was her dead husband the whole time. In the movie, the husband disappears for good once he's figured out his "business" or whatever and accepts that he has to let her go (I think lol) but I wouldn't say no to ghost Daniel sticking around.
